Beetroot Spiced Te Chai Latte – Get In My Belly!

The Weather Outside Is Just Begging For A Nourishing Hot Brew.

That winter chill that has crept up onto us can only mean one thing: kettle on… and… big jumpers, oh and socks too (ok that was 3 things!) Either way we just want warmth and comfort during a cold and harsh winter’s day.
If you are looking for something pure, immune-boosting and bursting with a unique flavour then can we tempt you with a beetroot spiced chai latte? It is super delicious and so easy to make!
Winter – a somewhat at times crazy chilly season even for us Australians, hails comfort from a warm, spicy and aromatic chai brew. The best part is the spices commonly found in chai– ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and cardamom, can help keep our body’s immune system in perfect working order or just help soothe a sore throat if need be.
Chai is traditionally celebrated for its detoxification and cleansing properties; by adding beetroot powder you are also just simply boosting your chai latte’s superpowers! Beetroot powder is rich in antioxidants, dietary fibre, calcium, iron, potassium, folate and manganese. Together, these chai spices along with the beetroot powder can create an incredibly aromatic, smooth and decadent flavour which soothes, balances and warms the body.
The best part about a Madura Te Chai is that it has no added sugar – just a pure and decadent taste!!
Brew up and stay cosy this winter!

3 cups of full cream milk (or any other milk of choice)
4 Madura Te Chai leaf infusers or 4 tsp. of Madura Te Chai Loose Leaf (add a little extra if you love a stronger chai flavour)
2 tsp. Beetroot Powder
2 -4 drops of rose water (optional)
2 tsp. sugar (optional)

Combine all the ingredients (for the exception of the rose water) in a saucepan and heat until a gentle boil, reduce to low heat and simmer for approx. 5-6mins. Strain, add rose water and transfer to a large blender and blitz until frothy. Divide between two tall glasses and serve warm!
Steep, sip and enjoy!
