Organic English Breakfast Pancakes
A delicious pancakes recipe steeped with Organic English Breakfast tea that will give you the ultimate get up and go energy for your day!
What you need
Note – We have chosen organic ingredients for this recipe however this is based on your own personal preference
1 1/2 cups organic whole wheat flour
1/2 cup organic plain flour
1 1/2 tsp organic baking powder
3 tsp organic cinnamon
1/4 cup organic coconut sugar (if required)
1 tsp organic vanilla
1 tbsp organic peanut butter
3/4 cup mashed organic bananas (The riper they are the sweeter the pancakes will be – which means add less sugar!)
1 cup of Organic English Breakfast tea, steeped the night before – always steep according to personal taste
1 cup unsweetened organic almond or coconut milk
Serve with a handful of organic blueberries, a splash of organic maple syrup, slices of organic banana and a ‘large’ dollop of organic yoghurt!
In a large bowl, add whole wheat flour, plain flour, sugar, cinnamon and baking powder. Stir until combined.
In a separate bowl, mash the banana and add in the vanilla and peanut butter, stirring until everything is incorporated together.
Add the banana mixture to the flour, then add in milk and tea and stir until a runny batter forms. Add a little extra milk or tea if the batter remains too thick.
Heat a non-stick frying pan and cook pancakes over medium heat.
Serve with blueberries, slices of banana, maple syrup, and yoghurt and of course a strong Madura Organic English Breakfast Tea.
