Farm Hand Team Member

As a farm hand team member at Madura Tea Estates you are of vital importance to enabling us to create award-winning tea driven by the desire to produce the freshest, best tasting tea focusing on environment sustainability.

Key Functions:

Fencing, repairs, spraying, driving vehicles/tractors, irrigation preparation & installation, operation and maintenance, harvesting, dig and plant seeds, & transplant seedlings as required, clean, clear, and maintain irrigation ditches, operate and service farm machinery and tools & assisting in other areas of the estate as required (eg factory hand).

Personal Qualities:

  • Must be able to work under minimum supervision, function and contribute to the team environment & take direction.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly, to problem solve (a level of mechanical aptitude is desirable)
  • Be aware of quality and work health and safety.
  • Current manual driver’s license & a good level of fitness is essential.
